Be ready on the agreed time to meet your guide at the hotel lobby to start your Dendera Abydos and Luxor in Two Days from Hurghada. Abydos temple
Your next stop will be the Abydos temple in Sohag, the Pilgrimage center of Osiris in ancient times. The temple dates back to the 19th dynasty, the New Kingdom of Egypt. One of the most important features of Abydos temple is the Abydos Kings List. The list has cartouches of 76 kings starting from the Predynastic period, from Menes Seti himself. Also, the temple has 7 chapels dedicated to the main gods including Seti himself such as Horus, Isis, Osiris, Ptah, Rahorakhty, Amun-Re, and also one to Seti himself. Discover the ritual of erecting the Djed Pillar in the Osiris Chapel before you go to see the Osireion from outside.
