Itinerary

Your luxury tour starts right from passing immigration and being met by your specialized tour guide, who will assist and escort you to one of the finest places in town for accommodation, the Kempinski Nile Hotel.

Check into your hotel, where you will go over your itinerary and firm up the pick-up times for your upcoming excursions. You may now spend the rest of the day at leisure with a complimentary welcome drink and the promise of Cairo beckoning.

The next stop after breakfast will be at Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, founded by King Menes during the Old Kingdom. After that, the tour proceeds to Sakkara's Step Pyramid of Djoser, an outstanding landmark of architectural innovation done on the orders of creative architect Imhotep and in commemoration of King Zoser.

You have lunch at a local restaurant followed by a tour of the Giza necropolis, where you visit the structures of Cheops, Mykerinus, and Chefren, the three main pyramids of Giza. You also visit the Great Sphinx with the head of a pharaoh and a lion body and the Valley Temple.

Begin the day by feasting on breakfast at the hotel, followed by a journey through bustling Cairo. Get a firsthand view of the Egyptian Museum and find out about the events surrounding the life of Tutankhamun. You will be whisked away in the museum back into the past, thus making your morning full of activity.

After visiting the museum, start a visit to the Salah El Din Citadel. Built in 1183 AD by Salah El Din, it was designed to defend the city from Crusader attacks. You will then proceed to the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque after seeing the citadel, a mosque dedicated to one of the ancient Egyptian rulers who ruled the area for over four decades.

In the afternoon, lunch will be followed by some spare time for shopping. Khan El Khalili Bazaar is one of the liveliest shopping districts of this city and part of Middle Eastern heritage.

Finally, this day is crowned by visits to some of Cairo's most fascinating churches: the Church of St. Barbara, the Church of Abu Serga, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, and the Hanging Church. Afterward, you will return to your hotel in Cairo to enjoy a nice evening.

After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor, where your luxury cruise down the Nile aboard your luxurious Dahabiya awaits. Off you go after lunch to visit one of the great temples, the Karnak Temple complex, dedicated to Amon-Ra, including the astounding hypostyle hall with its 137 grand columns. You will also see the Luxor Temple from the 28th Dynasty before returning to a relaxed evening on board your cruise ship in Luxor.
